***All questions answered by Rob Vannice of JuiceheaD***
SUR: How did the band come together?
I started writing songs for JuiceheaD in mid 2002 while I was on my way out of the band that I working with due to creative differences and the lack of a stable line up. By early 2003 I had several songs ready to launch the project, I was just missing a bassist and drummer. In May of 2003 I was introduced to Tommy Kloss (bass) through a mutual friend and in November of 2003 we brought on Zac Dawson to fill in on drums and we got right down to work on the songs that would be “The Devil Made Me Do It”.
SUR: How’d you come up with your name?
In 2003, steroids in baseball was all over the news, and the term juicehead was used to describe steroid using players. I thought that the word fit our style and it stuck.
SUR: What bands/artists are you influenced by?
If I had to choose just a few I would have to say The Clash, The Ramones, Misfits, and of course The Beatles.
SUR: How would you describe your music for people who have never heard it before?
It’s a well balanced blend rock n’ roll and punk in which any lover of music can indulge in, and it does a great job of defining itself as it’s own.
SUR: What makes your band different from all the other ones out there?
There is nothing that I can say here that our music doesn’t say for itself.
